Zing was formed over 2 years ago as a Yiddish Jazz and Jewish Swing band, focussing on the Yiddish hits of 1940s America and Jazz standards written by Jews between 1920s - 1940s.
The band has seen a couple of lineup changes in that time. The current lineup is Ross Wall on piano and Paul Tkachenko on Bass.
The band has proved popular with Jewish Festivals and events. Over the years we have played in Limmud day events across the country including Newcastle, Cambridge and Liverpool. In 2008 we were invited to play at the Leeds Jewish International Festival. We have also played charity events and Jazz venues in London and Bournmouth.
See the Zing website for more details: www.zingjazz.co.uk/nextgigs.htm
We have broadened our repertoire to include songs from World War 2, 1940s swing numbers, as well as songs by Irving Berlin and other writers.
Zing is available for private hire - we will add some spice to your party, Wedding, Bat Mitzvah, Anniversary or any simcha you have.
